WISE Researching the Tech Landscape in 2021 Survey

Year on year, WISE data has shown an increase in the number of girls studying computing, as well as the number of women employed in tech roles – 16.4% of the tech workforce. Although these positive trends are encouraging, WISE members are increasingly concerned about the current skills gap in tech and digital technology roles as well as the persistent gender imbalance in the tech workforce.

This research will form the first step in supporting employers to close the digital skills gap and this survey is your opportunity to get involved!

This UK-wide survey aims to quantify the different routes into tech based on age, gender, nationality and other characteristics. It will identify the current landscape, educational qualifications that tech employees have and need, training requirements and best practices to inform employers of the untapped pools of talent.

All data is submitted anonymously and will be stored in line with GDPR regulations. WISE’s privacy notice can be viewed at: https://www.wisecampaign.org.uk/privacy-notice/.
